Michael joined Wolfenzon Rolle as an Associate in 2022 and practices all aspects of civil litigation. Michael’s practice areas include insurance defense, construction defect, personal injury, contract and commercial disputes, complex litigation, and torts. Michael also has experience in corporate, transactional, transportation, and real estate matters.

Prior to joining Wolfenzon Rolle, Michael defended numerous Fortune 500 companies in high exposure complex litigation matters at a national Am Law 100 firm.

Michael attended college at the University of Manitoba, earning a Bachelor of Commerce Honors degree with a double major in Finance and Accounting. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of North Dakota School of Law where he graduated in the top 5% of his class, Magna Cum Laude, and was elected to the Order of the Coif.

During law school, Michael held many leadership roles, including serving on the North Dakota Law Review Board of Editors and the University of North Dakota’s Moot Court Board. He competed in three national Moot Court competitions, a national trial competition, and was elected to the Order of the Barristers for his excellence in oral advocacy and brief writing skills.

Michael also had the privilege and honor of serving as a judicial extern to the Honorable Ralph R. Erickson (now U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit) and the Honorable Alice R. Senechal in the United States District Court for the District of North Dakota.

Prior to law school, Michael was a journeyman bricklayer and owned and operated a commercial bricklaying company. While at first glance bricklaying does not appear analogous to the practice of law, it instilled in him a strong work ethic, which continues to serve him and his clients well in his practice of law.
